Meet Grandma's Lawn Chair:
Grandma’s Lawn Chair is my very first traditionally pieced quilt pattern that I released. It came out in the fall of 2013, and is a fun and popular pattern!
The assembly for this quilt is so super quick and easy, that it’s the perfect pattern for gifts, baby quilts, wedding quilts, etc. And it’s easy to customize with your favorite colors schemes.
I LOVE the ombre effect as it fades in and out across this baby quilt. This would be a lot of fun in a larger quilt as well!
My larger size quilt uses all Tula Pink, and it has always been my family’s favorite quilt! It has been well loved over all of these years!
The pattern includes 3 sizes, baby, crib, and lap. The baby and lap are shown above.
I’m actually working on adding sizes, and giving the whole pattern a complete overhaul. I’m really excited, as this is such a fun and easy pattern, I want to use what I’ve learned over all these years, to make the pattern even better.
I’m hoping to have the pattern finished in the next month or so, and then I’ll host a Grandma’s Lawn Chair QAL probably once school starts up again, but definitely sometime this year! (I’m making sure to not over book myself, but there are a few things I’m really excited to get to!)
I think this is also the perfect pattern for a picnic quilt!
The name is inspired by those old lawn chairs that my Grandma used to have, with the plastic webbing that weaved in and out to form the seat and back of the chair. Do you remember those?!
Growing up we always went to my Grandma’s for lunch outside in her beautiful garden, and those chairs were cemented into my memory. 😉
If you purchase the pattern now, you will have access to the updated pattern as soon as it it available! It’ll automatically update in your account! Super easy.
