Dusk

Meet Dusk:

Dusk is a fun story!

In about May of 2015, Leila sent me a photo of a paper craft she had in her window, and asked if I could make a pattern based off of it. It was a 9 pointed star, which is not a typical design, and is the reason why she asked me to help her out.

I love a good creative challenge and I agreed!

I REALLY really love the first design version of the pattern, but there were 18 SEAMS joining in the center!! A little too many for a quilt pattern. lol

Carla helped me test the original design and I love her block!! Those center spokes are so fantastic!! But like I said, a lot!! lol.

So I simplified the design just a little, and here we go!

Recently I thought of revisiting that original design and seeing if I could make it work and still look good. We’ll see… 😉

I like this pattern so much that I’ve been using it everywhere! It’s at the top of my homepage, the header for my Facebook group, the header for my newsletter. It’s just a good looking block!

Let's see what you've made!

The Dusk block is such a fun one to watch others make! While I think all of my blocks are super versatile, there is something about the Dusk pattern that keeps each version similar while also creating completely different visual effects.

What do you think??

Are you ready to give this pattern a try??

The pattern also includes LOTS of coloring pages so you can test out your designs and color/fabric combos BEFORE cutting into your favorite fabrics!

There are lots of instructions, and everything you need to make the pattern.

Dusk only comes in two sizes, 18 inch and 24 inch. So it’s perfect for bigger projects and pillows!

I’d love to hear what you think!

Do you like it?!

Which project is your favorite?

Are you buying the pattern?
