How is your week going? How is your quilt coming along?? I am so in love with how everyone’s quilts are coming together in the Facebook group! Ya’ll are doing an awesome job!!

We have had some exciting life stuff going on this week. We picked up our new little puppy on Saturday and it’s been BUSY working with her and training her and adjusting our lives to this new dynamic. She is the cutest thing ever and we all love her… except my almost 2 year old. She nips at him and he’s showing definite signs of “new baby syndrome” – getting jealous of the new “baby” in the house as he’s been acting out a bit more. Funny kid. So I’ve also been enjoying all the intentional hugs and play time with him too!

Having a little puppy puts in perspective just how big my baby is getting and it makes me a little sad. We usually have another baby around this time (we have six kids and only the last baby has more than a two year gap between him and his sister. So since we’re done with kids, we got a puppy. good grief. lol. We love it though!!)

I’m excited for a little time to get back to quilting though! So here we go!

Block D

Here is my fabric for my D blocks.

I forgot to include the last piece of fabric – and I can’t retake the photo since I already made the blocks. So… know there is one more piece you’ll need – it’s the top fabric in the block below.

Here is my finished block D.

Quilt Progress

And here are my D blocks added to my design wall.

Homework

Today’s homework is to make all of your D blocks.

Super easy and I know some of you have already jumped ahead!

For anyone feeling behind, don’t get discouraged!! Schedule in some “you time” and you can totally catch up! It doesn’t take a lot of time at all. (I actually made all of the blocks in two days – and that’s with homeschooling and taking care of the family. So if I can do it… you can too! 😉 )
